A landscape artist from Oxfordshire, UK. I have had a love of art right from an early age. I followed my passion to become an artist so I could be creative on a regular basis, which makes me happy. Painting is good for your soul - everyone should try it!

I actually relish when things don’t go to plan, as my determination kicks in and often, from experience, that’s when the ‘good stuff’ happens!

Inspired by beautiful ever-changing local countryside and seascapes from my travels.

Nature is such a wonderful source of inspiration. The light, shade, tones, colours and textures mixed in with my imagination mean I never run out of ideas.

The application of the medium is an exciting experience for me.

I try different techniques to create interesting marks such as splashes, dripping, masking, dry brushing, fluid paint and textures. I get that ‘buzz’ when unintentional successful marks appear through my processes.

Following A level art I continued to study at Banbury Art College and finally a degree at the Surrey Institute of Art & Design in Farnham, totalling six years of art training. I worked as a Packaging Designer for over 10 years and although it was creative in a different way, I felt the need to pick up a paintbrush again in my spare time. The creativity and excitement instantly flowed back and I knew then that being a full-time artist was my goal, so I took the plunge!

Where I sell my artwork

I am a self-representing artist selling direct to my customers and collectors. This allows people to meet me in person and find out all about the inspiration behind my works and the processes used.

My paintings can be found here on my website or at many of the events and exhibitions I attend throughout the year. My main event of the year is participating in Oxfordshire Artweeks in the idyllic town of Charlbury for nine days during May.

In Witney Town centre you can find my very popular individual hand-painted cards and small landscapes at the SOTA Gallery. As well as at Court Barn Museum, Chipping Campden, Gloucestershire.

My animal watercolour and landscape prints are on sale at Cogges Manor Farm Shop in Witney, West Oxfordshire. Why not visit for a lovely family day out.

My unique 3D paintings can be found in Payne & Son Jewellers, High Street Oxford City Centre. They also display a selection of my artwork throughout Oxfordshire Artweeks during May.

Commissions

If you are interested in having a painting commission, please contact me with your requirements. As every commission is different, I cost for them individually based on size, content, medium and frame requirements. Get in touch by email link below.

Teaching lessons

As well as creating my own artworks, teaching is a great passion of mine too, with the aspiration to inspire others to get creative and learn some handy techniques and painting tips along the way.
